About Reach Dance Academy

Artistic Director

Brianne Buckman - Kalechstein opened Reach Dance Academy in July 2002 after graduating from York University with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours. Brianne studied Musical Theatre choreography at NYU, was a Teaching Artist for Broadways "The Music Man", interned at Entertainment Tonight (NYC), and has choreographed for Judy and David (stage) Ricky's Room (TV) and Crayola(TV).

As a teacher Brianne wants to teach children to love dance from a young age and then nourish that passion with professional training helping all dancers reach their own personal best. Briannes most important rule at all times is "SMILE!"

Philosophy

Reach offers a family environment where all dancers are encouraged to achieve their personal best in a low student teacher ratio. All classes are taught under the direction of our Artistic Director and are designed to build positive self-esteem by providing challenges your dancer can meet. At the end of the season all dancers have the opportunity to perform on stage in our year end showcase where every dancer is a star. Brianne and the assisting Reach staff pride themselves on teaching fun, stimulating classes where boys and girls alike can Point Their Toes and Reach for the Stars.

Performance Company

Reach Dance Academy offers an Award Winning Performance Company where male and female dancers, perform, compete and give back to the community. Our dancers have performed for a multitude of venues including promotional events fo Disney On Ice and dancing on the Toronto Star Mainstage. For Audition information please contact Brianne by phone.
